After several months of using EMDDB, we have noticed that users occasionally find some of the activities described in the user guide difficult to complete, or that successful and efficient submission of a notification may require some additional background knowledge.

As of 6 July 2026, the new Medical Devices and Appliances Database (EMDDB) is available to users. The new database replaces the previous system, which has served users for more than ten years.
